Achievement guide · Chapter 11: Skate to Cassandra’s

Mixtape Cone Island, Baby guide: hit all 10 traffic cones.

Cone Island, Baby is a movement-based Mixtape achievement that asks you to knock over 10 traffic cones during the skate from Rockford’s house. It sounds simple, but there are exactly 10 cones in the route, so missing even one means you will need to try again. This guide gives you the route order, the hardest camera-angle section, crash-rewind advice and a quick Chapter Select cleanup plan.

Fast answer

To unlock Cone Island, Baby, replay or start Chapter 11: Skate to Cassandra’s and knock over all 10 orange traffic cones during the skate from Rockford’s house. There are exactly 10 cones, so every cone matters. Watch especially for cones 8 and 9 when the camera switches to an overhead angle on the right side of the road. If you miss one, use Chapter Select to retry the chapter.

Step-by-step unlock route

The goal is not speed. The goal is clean positioning before each cone cluster.

Start Chapter 11: Skate to Cassandra’s

Load the chapter normally or replay it from Chapter Select. The achievement is tied to the skate from Rockford’s house, so you do not need to replay earlier story chapters for another attempt.

Prepare for cones 1, 2 and 3 near the yellow dump truck

The first cluster is near the yellow dump truck. Look right of the truck and keep your line close to the road’s center line. Hitting these early cones sets the rhythm for the rest of the run.

Stay centered for cone 4 at the intersection

When the route reaches an intersection and you can see a school bus ahead, stay ready. Cone 4 is near the center line past the intersection. Do not drift too far to the edge while reacting to dialogue or camera movement.

Hit cones 5 and 6 after the semi trailer

After going under the semi trailer, look for two cones in the center path before the construction area. These are easier than the later overhead cones, but missing one still ruins the unlock attempt.

Hit cone 7 before the ledge

Cone 7 appears in the first construction area before the route sends you off a ledge. Adjust early rather than making a last-second turn, because the next camera changes can make recovery harder.

Move right for cones 8 and 9 in the overhead camera section

This is the hardest part of the achievement. When the camera switches to an overhead angle, cones 8 and 9 are on the right side of the road. Because the perspective changes, the line can feel less natural. Commit to the right side early and aim through both cones rather than correcting late.

Finish with cone 10 after the camera returns behind you

Once the camera returns behind the skater, watch for the final cone just past cars on the left. If you hit all 10, the achievement should unlock immediately after cone 10.

Hardest section: cones 8 and 9

Cones 8 and 9 are the ones most likely to break the run because the camera changes to an overhead angle and the cones sit on the right side of the road. The safest method is to shift right before you feel like you need to. If you wait until the cones are already close, the change in camera angle can make your correction too late.

Some guides note that if you miss one of these, you may be able to crash into a car or obstacle to trigger a rewind, then try that section again. Treat that as a rescue option rather than your main plan. For the cleanest unlock, aim to hit both cones on the first pass.

Can crash rewind save the attempt?

Sometimes, but do not rely on it for your first clean run.

When it helps

Crash rewind can give another try

Public route notes mention that in a couple of spots, intentionally turning hard into a crash can rewind the route and still let the run count as long as every cone is eventually hit during the ride. This is most useful around the difficult overhead camera section, where cones 8 and 9 are easy to miss.

If you missed a cone and are near a crashable object, it may be worth trying before restarting the whole chapter.

When to restart

Restart if you are unsure

If you are not sure which cone you missed, or the rewind does not place you before the missed cone, restart Chapter 11. Because the chapter is short, a clean reset can be faster than trying to salvage a confused route.

For guide videos and screenshots, a clean no-miss route is also easier for viewers to follow than a route that depends on an accidental crash.

Chapter Select cleanup route

Cone Island, Baby is missable during the run, but not permanently missable.

Open Chapter Select after reaching or finishing the story

If you missed a cone, go to Chapter Select and choose Chapter 11: Skate to Cassandra’s. There is no need to replay Chapter 1 through Chapter 10.

Keep the cone list visible

Use a second screen, phone or printed note with the six route groups: 1–3 near the yellow dump truck, 4 at the school bus intersection, 5–6 after the semi trailer, 7 before the ledge, 8–9 during overhead camera, and 10 after the camera returns behind you.

Restart quickly after a confirmed miss

If you know you missed one and cannot rewind before it, restart the chapter immediately. The route is short enough that early restarts save time.

Confirm the pop after cone 10

If all 10 were hit, Cone Island, Baby should unlock immediately after the final cone. If it does not, assume one cone did not register and replay the chapter.

Common mistakes

Most failed attempts come from camera changes, drifting too wide or assuming there are spare cones.

Mistake 1

Thinking there are extra cones

There are exactly 10 cones along the route. You cannot skip one and make it up later with an extra cone.

Mistake 2

Reacting too late to cones 8 and 9

The overhead camera makes late corrections feel awkward. Move right early before those cones enter the center of your attention.

Mistake 3

Relaxing after cone 7

The hardest part comes after cone 7, not before it. Stay focused through the camera change.

Mistake 4

Quitting before cone 10 confirms

Wait for the achievement after the final cone. If nothing pops, replay the chapter and track each group more carefully.

Should you attempt it on a first playthrough?

It depends on whether you are playing for story flow or 100% efficiency.

Story-first

Play naturally, clean up later

If this is your first Mixtape run and you care most about the story, do not stress over the cones. The chapter is a fast skating sequence, and watching a guide while playing can pull you out of the scene. If you miss the achievement, Chapter Select makes it easy to return later.

Completion-first

Use the route now

If you want all achievements in one pass, follow the route and aim for every cone. Cone Island, Baby is not hard once you know where the cones are, but it is unforgiving because there are no extras. Keep the route groups in mind before the skating starts.

Screenshot checklist for your live guide

To make this page stronger than a text-only route, add original screenshots or short clips after testing. The most useful visuals are not generic skating screenshots; they should show the exact cone clusters and camera-angle changes that cause players to miss the achievement.

Where is Cone Island, Baby unlocked?

It is unlocked in Chapter 11: Skate to Cassandra’s. The requirement is tied to the skating route from Rockford’s house.

Can I replay this achievement with Chapter Select?
